Heritage Quest Resource Viewer (HQRV) is genealogy software written specifically to search indexes on CD-ROM media and to view digitized microfilm stored in a proprietary format on CD-ROM media. This software comes as part of the newer Generations Archives digital microfilm with index CD-ROM media. The CD-ROM indexes are comparable to the Family Tree Maker Family Archives CD-ROM indexes originally released by Broderbund.[1]. Several of the Heritage Quest index disks are in the National archives [2]
According to the readme file on the data disk labeled DM7457 for the 1800 census microfilm M32 Roll 36 [3]. The following compatibility table was populated to match the stated compatibility for software version 1.0.6.0 dated Jul 19, 2001.
