Bhendi yellow vein mosaic virus (BYVMV) or yellow vein mosaic of okra (OYVMV) is a viral disease caused by monopartite Begomovirus [1]Bhendi yellow vein mosaic virus (BYVMV, family: Geminiviridae)[2] affecting okra plants. It was first found in 1924 in Mumbai of India and Sri Lanka.[3] It is the major limitation of the production of okra.[4] This disease is transmitted by the whitefly.
