Simple Sugars is a Pittsburgh-based cosmetics company run by entrepreneur Lani Lazzari.[1][2][3][4][5] In 2013, Lazzari appeared in Season 4 of the United States reality television series Shark Tank where the business received a $100,000 investment from Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban for a 33 percent stake.[6] A year later, Lazzari appeared again on Shark Tank.[7][specify]

Lani Laazari was 11 years old in 2005 when she started making skincare products for herself in her mother's kitchen. By age 13, Lazzari turned her hobby into a successful e-commerce business and named it Simple Sugars. In 2012, producers from ABC's "Shark Tank" reached out to Laazari to appear on the show and landed a deal with Mark Cuban, "for $100,000 for a 33 percent stake in the company."[8]

In 2017, Simple Sugars had under $2 million in sales.[9]
