Shivkrupanand Swami (born 8 November 1954), better known as "Baba Swami" is an Indian spiritual teacher, author and Goodwill Tourism Ambassador of Nepal.[1][2][3] He is known for Samarpan Meditation and meditation workshops that he runs for free in India , United States , Canada , United Kingdom and other countries.[4][5][6] He also runs the Samarpan Meditation Foundation and inspired people to start the Shree Shivkrupanand Swami Foundation in Canada.[7]

Biography

Shivkrupanand Swami was born in a lower-middle-class Maharashtrian Brahmin family. During his visit to Nepal, he met Shiv Baba who paved his way towards spirituality. He returned to India and got married. When his son was 18 months old, a Guru came to his house and took Shree Shivkrupanand Swami to the Himalayas, where he met sages, ascetics and Yogis, which helped him in obtaining spiritual knowledge from them.[8] Swami learned about the meditation technique as a way for soul's path to liberation (Moksha).[1] He established Samarpan Ashrams in Dandi, Punadi, Ajmer, Shiroda, Rajkot and Long Acre, UK.[9]

In April 2015, Shivkrupanand Swami conducted an 8-day Samarpan Dhyanyog Meditation Camp for the Indian Parliamentarians (Organised by the Ministry of AYUSH).[10]

Shivkrupanand Swami has also conducted Samarpan Meditation workshops in Sri Lanka in 2016.[11]
