. A yellow solid, it is the simplest polysulfide derivative of ferrocene. It can be synthesized by treatment of dilithioferrocene with elemental sulfur.[2] Using proton NMR spectroscopy, the relatively slow conformational flexing of the trisulfide ring can be established.
