Place:Shalpur Empire

From HandWiki

Shalpur Empire or Kingdom of Shalpur (409 AD – 540 AD) was a medieval Jat empire founded by Jat king Maharaja Shalinder in fifth century AD. This empire included present-day's state of East Punjab, West Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Malwa. The capital of this kingdom was Shalpur, present day Sialkot, Pakistan .[1][2][3]

Dogla originated from king Shailendra. From him Shambuk was born, from the auras of Shambuk was born Dogali. He married two daughters. From the womb of one of them, a son named Veer Narendra was born.[citation needed] Veer Narendra's son was Virchandra and his son Shalichandra, who had established a grand Shiva temple in the mango orchard in Kansua (Kanwas) village of Kota district of Rajasthan around 540 (Samvat 597).[citation needed] Not much information is available about the end of the kingdom of Shalipur (Shalipur or Shaliwahanpur), it is possible that their kingdom was over at the time of the invasion of the Huns.[citation needed] And they may have been expelled from the capital of Shalipur, Shalipuri and after that their descendants were on the canvas. Afterwards Shalichandra, son of Virchandra, built temple at this place (Kanwas, Kota) in the memory of the first founder of his dynasty, Maharaja Shalindar and his ancestors.[citation needed]
