Tech ARP (pronounced as Tech Up) is a Malaysian technology news and information website created by Adrian Wong in 1997. It publishes news, reviews and guides on issues such as computer hardware and software, science, technology policy, and video games.[citation needed]
History
Tech ARP was started as a personal homepage in 1997 by Dr. Adrian Wong on August 20, 1998, eventually evolving into a true tech website which offers reviews, editorials, guides and news related to computer hardware, software, computer technology, modding, overclocking and medical topics.[citation needed] The previous name of the site, Adrian's Rojak Pot, was derived from a Malaysian dish called rojak. Wong envisioned the site as a potpourri of different articles, as varied and as delectable as the ingredients of that dish.[citation needed]
Tech ARP aims to focus on subjects that are rarely or never touched by other sites. It believes that it's better to provide some information on a little-known subject than add more to the mountain of information on well-researched subjects.[citation needed] In early 2006, Adrian's Rojak Pot was rebranded and went through a makeover. It is now known as Tech ARP.
Content
The content of articles published by Tech ARP also hosts on their website and also an OpenForum, a free internet forum for the discussion of a variety of topics with nearly six thousand members and three hundred thousand posts, with discussions ranging from computer hardware, overclocking, cooling & modding to software, games, distributed computing, digital photography and more.
