Description
Abby Scott Baker of Washington, D.C., was known as the diplomat of the NWP because of her personal lobbying of scores of prominent politicians. Member, NWP executive committee, and political chairman beginning 1918. Baker was arrested for picketing and sentenced to 60 days in Occoquan Workhouse, Sept. 1917.
