Description

Ball-and-stick model of the coordination environment of the carbonate ion, CO32−, in the crystal structure of magnesium carbonate, MgCO3. It is found in nature as the mineral magnesite. The structure was reported in Am. Mineral. (1997) 82, 682–688 and is available in the AMCSD as entry 01929.
