Summary

Description
English: Model depicting the solar wind and Interplanetary magnetic field interacting with a magnetic field generated by current flowing in a coil. Simulation and theoretical models quantify coefficient of drag, steering (i.e., thrust direction) angle with the solar wind, and torque generated as a function of coil orientation (attack angle) with respect to solar wind.
