L'extrémité supérieure du mur végétal au crépuscule

Patrick Blanc, chercheur au CNRS, botaniste et spécialiste des plantes tropicales, est l'inventeur des murs végétaux. Il a breveté un procédé qui lui offre la possibilité de végétaliser des surfaces urbaines jusqu’alors inaccessibles aux plantes. Pour l’instant ce traitement n’est appliqué qu’à un certain nombre d’immeubles de luxe, au Japon, en Thaïlande, aux Emirats Arabes et à une des façades du musée du Quai Branly à Paris.

Le bâtiment du musée du quai Branly a été conçu par l’architecte Jean Nouvel.
