At their natural habitat, it was mixed with wild water lily, Hanguana malayana (front left); the Suicide Tree Cerbera odollam (fruiting tree at back left); and Red Sealing Wax Palm Cyrtostachys renda (mid back, with red leaf-sheath).
Bahasa Indonesia: Semak-semak rasau, Pandanus helicopus, di tepian Sungai Tempapan Kiri, Sambas, Kalbar. Di habitat alaminya, pandan ini bercampur dengan bakung rawa Hanguana malayana (kiri depan); bintaro, Cerbera odollam (pohon berbuah di sebalah kiri belakang); dan palem merah, Cyrtostachys renda (di sebelah tengah belakang).
