Summary

Description	English: Near solar maximum, the point of maximum activity during the Sun's 11-year activity cycle, helmet streamers appear symmetrically distributed across the solar disk. This image was taken by SOHO's LASCO C2 coronagraph on 2001/11/03 at 05:35 UT, near the solar maximum of solar cycle 23. Courtesy of SOHO/LASCO consortium. SOHO is a project of international cooperation between ESA and NASA.
