English: Statuette of Artemis. Parian Marble. Found in the “House of the Diadoumenos” in Delos. The goddess wears a chiton, a girt peplos and a himation. The diagonal strap on her breast will have held the quiver full of arrows. The goddess’ beauty is stressed by the elaborate coiffure. About 100 B.C. Accession number: 1829.
