Description
English: The dragonfly Banded Darter, Sympetrum pedemontanum, pair mating.
Deutsch: Ein Paar der Gebänderten Heidelibelle (Sympetrum pedemontanum) in Tandemstellung. Beachte auch die unterschiedliche Färbung der Flügelmale. Das Paar machte nur eine kurze Verschnaufpause während der Eiablage. Das Weibchen unten hängt frei in der Luft und wird – libellentypisch – nur von den zangenartigen Hinterleibsanhängen des Männchens gehalten, die hinter dem Kopf verankert sind.
