English: Jamu has existed since the 13th century, namely since the days of the Mataram Kingdom. In fact, in 1911 it was written in the book Kloppenburg-Versteegh by a Dutch woman who contained about how to concoct herbal medicine.
The efficacy and benefits of this herbal medicine even attracts the attention of doctors and researchers from abroad. This is because doctors and researchers are looking for alternative herbal treatments to overcome health problems. In the end, it was found one of the best alternative treatments, namely herbal medicine. One such researcher is Jacobus Bontius, known as a pioneer of tropical medicine
