Nuclear for Australia is a youth-led campaign seeking a transition to nuclear energy in Australia, founded by Will Shackel.[1]
The organisation initiated its public presence by using paid Facebook advertising to promote videos and a survey to it's audience. Soon after it launched a change.org petition calling on Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Climate Change Minister Chris Bowen to legalise nuclear energy.[2] The petition has gained nearly 20,000 signatures.[3]
In May 2023, Shackel appeared solo in front of an Australian Senate Committee in Canberra to present his submission on why he believed nuclear energy should be legalised.[4]
