== Education and career ==
Andersson grew up in Horndal, Dalarna. Andersson has been very active in developing the Swedish national center for large-scale research [[Organization:Science for Life Laboratory|Science for Life Laboratory]], especially its [[Biology:DNA sequencing|DNA sequencing]] and [[Biology:Bioinformatics|bioinformatics]] platforms. She served as Co-director for the center between 2017 and 2021.<ref name="scilifelab1" />
