==Early life and education==
T.K. Abdullah was born in 1929 at Ayancheri,<ref name="CNKK"/><ref name="JIH"/> a village in Kozhikode District. He completed his education from various Islamic institutes.<ref name="JIH"/> While he was studying at Aliya college, Kasargode, he joined in Prabodhanam journal in 1950.

===Editor===
After joining in Prabodhanam on 1950, he became deputy chief editor in 1959. In 1964, while Prabodhanam weekly started, Abdullah was the first Chief Editor<ref name="CNKK"/> till 1995. Later he joined Bodhanam Quarterly journal as its chief editor.

===Literary works===

==Jamate Islami Leader==
After getting membership in Jamaat-e-Islami Hind in 1959, he reached the top position in kerala Jamat (President-Amir)<ref name="KG">{{cite book |title=Kerala Gazette |date=23 May 1978 |publisher=Government of Kerala |location=Part 4 |page=194 |url=https://archive.org/details/gazette.kerala.archive.1978.1978MAY23/page/449/mode/1up |access-date=29 July 2020}}</ref><ref name="CNKK"/> for 1972-1979  and 1982-1984 periods. During his leadership, Jamate Islami kerala faced the Emergency of 1975. Many of its leaders were jailed during the emergency, including T.K. Abdullah.
