Senecio astephanus is a species of flowering plant in the aster family known by the common name San Gabriel ragwort.[1] It is endemic to California , where it is known only from the rocky slopes of the Transverse Ranges and adjacent Coast Ranges. It is a perennial herb growing up to a meter tall and producing discoid flower heads containing golden yellow florets.
