Here is a list of articles in the category Capitonidae of the Biology portal. Capitonidae is a bird family in the order Piciformes. Today, it includes only the typical American barbets. The Asian barbets are now placed in the Megalaimidae, the African barbets and tinkerbirds in the Lybiidae, and their toucan-barbets from South America make up the small family Semnornithidae.
