SOVERON

SOVERON is a product family of digital military radio equipment (software defined radios, SDR) from Rhode & Schwarz. Since 2019 parts of German Army at Bundeswehr are equipped with the SOVERON System. At the same time other parts of Germany Army got equiped with the Israeli E-LynX System. The VHF / UHF system is combination of handhelds and vehicle radios and able to simultaneously transmit voice and IP data. The technology also enables the rapid establishment of so-called MANETs (mobile adhoc networks), which additionally secures communication. Another factor is compatibility.

The new SDRs (Software Defined Radios) should also be able to access other Armed Forces Radio Equipment.
