Wikitia is an English, web-based, free-content verified encyclopedia [1]. Its editorial policy is based on a model where only verified editors (with verified identity) can edit the pages. It was created to eliminate the flaws of Wikipedia where admins and editors can make a decision without expertise or verified knowledge on a particular topic or field.
As other Wiki type encyclopedias, Wikitia is designed for collaborative editing of articles. Wikitia is written by editors, who have notability in their field or topic and can write with or without pay. The goal of Wikitia is to avoid or minimize the disruption or vandalism.
Wikitia is ran by Wikitia Foundation which is not affiliated to the Wikimedia Foundation.
Wikitia registration policy
Unlike Wikipedia, Wikitia requires full registration. The community at Wikitia is limited to only specialized editors who are experts in their fields and can helping in building verified content by the continuous efforts. All articles and pages on Wikitia are protected to provide verified encyclopedic content by controlling the substandard edits by all users, who don't have knowledge in that industry or field.
