Iranian fuel 2021 cyberstrike
26 October 2021 a cyberattack disrupted Iranian fuel smart electronic card subsidized pricing distribution system, and roads billboards. Government announced that people had to buy gas without their ration card. According to Supreme Council of Cyberspace the attackers were similar to the attack on Iranian rail road transit system in July.[1] [2] Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi responded with a meeting and said "this cyberattack is neither the first time nor will it be the last ."[3]
Network infrastructure is a semi isolated system not connected to the Internet rather National Internet (National Information Network).[4]
August 2021 footage of Iranian prisons were leaked and CCTV and IP cams were hacked.[5]

Nationwide all 4300 gas stations were unable to process payments.[6][7]
The attack caused disorder leaving motorists stranded in long queues.[8]
