Manufacture on demand is a process which enables companies to offer audio and/or video content to consumers on recordable discs.[1] It differs from traditional releases as it is only produced on demand, rather than being stored in a warehouse, eliminating inventory.[1] Many companies have taken advantage of this new process, including Warner Bros. (Warner Archive Collection),[2] Smithsonian Folkways (Custom CDs),[3] and Sony.[4]
