AHIC An Hua (AH, 安华) is a series of Chinese UAVs developed by the An Hua Agricultural Insurance Co., Ltd. Engineering Technology Research Institute (安华农业保险公司工程技术研究所) of Anhua Agricultural Insurance Co., Ltd. (AHIC, 安华农业保险公司), a Chinese agricultural insurance firm.

AH-1

AH-1 is the first member of AH series UAV that can be either hand-launched or rail launched.[1] At its typical cruise speed, endurance and altitude, a single AH-1 can cover the same area (100 km2) that require more than 100 ground crew in the same period of time (2 hours), and thus is far more efficient when performing the same tasks (such as post disaster assessment).[2] Specification:[3]

  • Typical operating altitude: 600 to 1000 m
  • Typical mission duration: 2 h
  • Imaging resolution: better than 10 cm

AH-3

AH-3 is another member of the AH series. Also known as AH-3N,[4] it’s larger than AH-1, and thus can only be rail launched.[5] AH-3 has been deployed by AHIC in half a dozen China provinces for post-disaster assessment missions,[6] and proved to be especially useful in regions where road has been destroyed in disasters.[7] AH-3 has been in service since 2010.[8]
