From HandWiki
In September 2007 Melges confirmed that Melges Performance Sailboats will release a 20-foot keel boat named Melges 20. The release is a group effort as the boat has been designed by Reichel Pugh Yacht Design and Melges Performance Sailboats/Melges USA. The Melges 20 is a one-design class sailboat with a lifting keel and is designed for racing.[1] In November 2012 the class was recognised by the World Sailing allowing recognised World Championships to be held.
