Solar neon is neon that is transmitted to Earth as ions in the solar wind.[1] It is distinguished from allogenic neon (that is, neon created in other ways) by its isotopic abundance, since solar neon is created directly via nuclear fusion, instead of via planetary nuclear fission.[2]
