This template is used to denote the Whyte notation of locomotives, especially steam locomotives. It automatically creates wikilinks for most common wheel arrangements

Usage

{{Whyte|arrangement|suffix|second part of suffix (if applicable)}}

Examples

  • {{Whyte|4-6-2}} produces 4-6-2
  • {{Whyte|0-6-0|PT}} produces 0-6-0PT
  • {{Whyte|0-6-0|T|T}} produces 0-6-0T+T
  • {{Whyte|0-8-2|T|R}} produces 0-8-2TR
