Gear box main drive retainer (known as Chillam in India) is a device used to retain a shaft inside the gearbox. The shaft which it holds is the main Torque transmission shaft and supplies power to move the vehicle.
Structural features
A straight pipe connected to a hub which is hollow from underneath and also has various holes for bolting arrangement which are used to fix it with gear box.
