HP's Web Language (formerly known as WebL and renamed to avoid a possible trademark conflict[1]) is a scripting language for automating tasks on the World-Wide Web. It is an imperative, interpreted programming language implemented in Java and running on the Java Platform that has built-in support for common web protocols like HTTP and FTP, and popular data types like HTML and XML.
