Octopus hawaiiensis, also known as the Hawaiian octopus or crescent octopus, is an octopus in the family Octopodidae endemic to Hawaii.[1][2]

Description

Octopus hawaiiensis uses venom to kill its prey. Its diet consists of mollusks, such as crabs, and fish.[3]

Distribution

It is found in the benthic zone at depths of 5–9 m (16–30 ft) in tropical climates.[3]
