Chunyi CY-05 UAVs are Chinese UAVs developed by Beijing Chunyi Aviation Science and Technology Co., Ltd. (Chunyi, 北京淳一航空科技有限公司), and most of them have entered service with Chinese military governmental establishments.

CY-05 Quick Eye

CY-05 Quick Eye (Kuai-Yan or Kuaiyan, 快眼) is fixed-wing UAV developed by Chunyi in twin-boom layout with inverted Pelikan tail and tricycle landing gear. Propulsion is provided by a two-blade propeller driven by a pusher engine mounted at the rear end of the fuselage. The twin boom are not attached to the wing as in most twin boom designs, but instead, they are raised from the fuselage.[1] CY-5 Quick Eye has almost identical appearance with PUT UAV PLT06 because both share the same airframe, and the main difference between the two UAVs is in their respective flight control systems which are totally different from each other because each company developed its own flight control system for the platform. The perform of both UAVs are also almost identical to each other. Specification:[2]

  • Length: 2.03 m
  • Wingspan: 2.3 m
  • Wing area: 0.8 m2
  • Height: 0.58 m
  • Max take-off weight: 18 kg
  • Empty weight: 5.5 kg
  • Payload: 5 kg

CY-05 Falcon

Although sharing the same designation CY-05, CY-05 Falcon (Lie-Ying or Lieying, 猎鹰) is a completely different UAV than CY-05 Quick Eye. CY-05 Falcon is a fixed-wing UAV developed by Chunyi in cropped delta wing layout with a pair of very long winglets pointing upward. Propulsion is provided by a two-blade propeller driven tractor engine mounted in the nose. Specification:[3]
