Mixer is a private network app used for posting job listings and employment opportunities for Mixer’s user-base working in creative industries.[1][2]
Overview
Mixer was founded in June 2015 by Ronald H. Winston, Cody Simons, Anis Bennaceur, and Alex Carapetis, drummer of Wolfmother and The Voidz.[3] Mixer was founded to create an organized and app-based alternative to the offline introductions, personal websites and all-purpose social network services to find potential projects and collaborators.[4][5][6]
Mixer came online in June 2015 and and in November 2017, Nylon Magazine has described Mixer as a "safe space for female creatives".[7][8]
Users can invite each other to join the app either through invitation or searching app stores.[9] Each applicant is screened by Mixer’s team to ensure that the app’s network is secure and well-curated to ensure quality of interaction and collaboration[10] [11]
