Dukaan is an Indian e-commerce startup headquartered in Bangalore.[1] It enables merchants with zero programming skills to set up their e-commerce store using a smartphone.[2] They recently announced an integration with ONDC, to streamline digital commerce and offer a level playing field across sellers.[3]
History
Dukaan is a DIY e-commerce platform that was founded in 2020 by Subhash Choudhary and Suumit Shah. The company was established in response to the COVID-19 pandemic,[2] which had a devastating impact on small and medium enterprises.[4] Over 70% of registered businesses on the platform are from Tier 2, and Tier 3 cities, and beyond.[5] It raised $6 million led by Lightspeed India and Matrix Partners India and was valued at about $22 million.[6]
