Erbil Governorate (Kurdish: پارێزگای ھەولێر ,Parêzgeha Hewlêr‎,[4][5] Arabic: محافظة أربيل[6]) is a governorate in the Kurdistan Region. It is the capital and economic hub of the autonomous region of Kurdistan.[7]
