Short description: Ice-covered prominence in Antarctica

Constellation Dome ( [ ⚑ ] : 81°6′S 160°13′E / 81.1°S 160.217°E / -81.1; 160.217) is an ice-covered prominence, 1,330 metres (4,360 ft) high, the highest feature in the Darley Hills, standing 5 nautical miles (9 km) west of Gentile Point, between the Ross Ice Shelf and Nursery Glacier. It was so named by the Northern Party of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (1960–61) because it was here that the party carried out the first astro fix of the journey.[1]
