Software:List of Shell Icon Overlay Identifiers
See Shell Icon Overlay Identifiers are a set of icon overlay handlers that Windows operating system can support in the system image list. Currently, there is 15 slots allotted for icon overlays in the Registry editor, 4 of which are reserved by Windows OS. Therefore, only the first 11 icon overlays provided by icon overlay handlers are effectively displayed. More than 11 icon overlay handlers can be registered, but the first 11 icon overlays will be effectively displayed on Internet explorer. The remaining icon overlay handlers are not used.[1] Many softwares such as software versioning software like TortoiseSVN and cloud storage service software like NextCloud, Dropbox, and OneDrive each issue their own icon overlay handlers upon installation. Below is a table of Shell Icon Overlay Identifiers by software.
Location
All Shell Icon Overlay Identifiers are located in Registry Editor.
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ShellIconOverlayIdentifiers
