Short description: Historically recognized order of algae

The Tetrasporales are a formerly recognized order of green algae, specifically the Chlorophyceae, now included in Chlamydomonadales.[1] AlgaeBase places Tetraspora and Tetrasporaceae in Chlamydomonadales.[2]
