Khilaal (Arabic خلال) refers to the act of ritually purifying the fingers, toes[1] or beard for prayer (salat) in the Islamic faith. Khilaal is done by interweaving the fingers when wet and then drawing them apart. It can also mean refer to wiping between the toes or through one's beard. It is only one of many aspects of Islamic ritual ablutions.[2]
