Phycomin is the brand name of phenylethylamine (PEA), and is derived from an extract of Aphanazomenon flos-aquae (AFA) cyanobacteria containing high concentrations of the active ingredient.[1] PEA is a compound naturally produced by the brain and is responsible for the mediation of experiences associated with pleasure and mental awareness.[2]
