Eutonology is a word that Henri Laborit used for referring to his study of the state of tension or responsiveness of the organs or tissues of the body under a condition of stress. "Laboratoire d'eutonologie" was the name of Laborit's laboratory at the Boucicaut Hospital in Paris in the late 1950s.
