Purpose

This template adds an external link to an article in http://dlmf.nist.gov, the Digital Library of Mathematical Functions.

Parameters

All parameters are optional.

title (or article): Title of the article id: The chapter number, which is part of the url. For example, chapter 5 http://dlmf.nist.gov/5 on the Gamma function would have id=5 last (or last1): The first author's surname or last name. first (or first1): The first author's first or given name(s). author-link (or author1-link): Title of an existing Wikipedia article about the first author. last2, The second author's surname or last name, if applicable. first2, The second authors' first or given name(s), if applicable. author2-link: Title of an existing Wikipedia article about the second author, if applicable. ref: the citation's HTML anchor identifier. When set, |ref=ID generates an anchor with the given ID (the id attribute in the citation's <cite id="ID"> HTML tag). Setting |ref=ID identifies the template as a target and allows wikilinking to full references, especially useful with short-form citations like shortened notes and parenthetical referencing. The special value |ref=harv generates an anchor identifier suitable for use with {{sfn}} and {{harv}} templates. For |mode=cs2 |ref= defaults to |ref=harv. It is also possible to link to subsections, formulas, and so on, by changing the id parameter as follows:

• id=2 links to Chapter 2
• id= 2.3 links to section 2.3
• id=2.3.iv links to subsection 2.3(iv)
• id=2.3.E4 links to equation 2.3.4
• id=2.10.F1 links to figure 2.10.1
• id=2.5.T1 links to table 2.5.1
