Talmix, formerly MBA & Company, is a digital staffing platform that connects businesses to talent across the globe for project work.[1]

History

The company, formerly known as "MBA & Company", was launched in 2016. MBA & Company had been founded by Daniel Callaghan in 2010, set up to match MBA graduates to companies needing consulting expertise to work on projects.[2][3]

After rebranding as Talmix 2016[4], and receiving funding from MMC Ventures, Tamweel and Piton Capital, the company migrated from a business school alumni network into a wider marketplace for premium talent, connecting over 25,000 independent business consultants to project-based work across 132 countries.[5]

By 2018, under the leadership of new CEO Sandeep Dhillon[6], Talmix was recognised as one of the UK’s top 50 tech “scale-ups”[7], and earned industry recognition at the EdTechXGlobal All Stars Startup Awards[8]. Talmix is also featured in the 100 Stories of Growth campaign - in 2018, the company expanded its global talent network to over 40,000 specialist consultants.[9]

Talmix is included in the Spend Matters Independent Contract Workers (ICW) SolutionMap category. [10] Talmix is also part of the Talent Tech Labs Talent Acquisition Ecosystem in the temporary labor marketplace category.[11]

In December 2020, Talmix was named a winner at the 2020 Best Staffing Firms to Work For awards, announced by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), the global advisor on staffing and workforce solutions.[12]

Business model

Talmix is a global marketplace for business talent.[13] The Talmix platform enables clients to post their requirements, and then Talmix relies on machine-learning algorithms to notify its best-fit talent of opportunities across the globe.[14][15]Clients can then review proposals and reach out to available talent, or build talent pools.[16] As of June 2020, Talmix has a 60,000+ talent network, covering 150 countries.[17]
