Bonet, 1956

Calpionellidae are an extinct family of eukaryotic single celled organisms. Their fossils are found in rocks of Upper Jurassic to Lower Cretaceous age.[1]

Naming

The name is derived from the Greek "κάλπις", meaning "water jug".
