Writesonic is an American software company that develops a GPT-3 based writing assistant[3] to help businesses write articles, landing pages, advertising copies, and product descriptions.[4][5] The tool analyzes the user’s input and uses pattern matching to generate content.[6][7][8][9]
The company was founded in 2021 by Samanyou Garg[10] and is backed by Y Combinator[11] with its headquarters in San Francisco, California.
History
The idea for Writesonic came out of Samanyou’s need to write better marketing copy for digital products he built on the side. He was experimenting with GPT-3 and thought about using GPT-3 to build landing pages that were optimized for conversion.[12]
He started building an MVP, and as a result, Writesonic was born.
