CollegeSource is an American company that helps colleges and students with academic planning and transfer credit. It provides a platform for colleges to review transfer credit, and it also has a portal for students to check whether their credits will transfer.[1] Its website allows paying subscribers to access a database of information from over 50,000 college course catalogs. The catalogs are owned and copyrighted by the schools, and CollegeSource has a copyright in the digital catalogs.[2]

History

CollegeSource was founded in 1971 as the National Microfilm Library for scanning and creating an annual collection of U.S. college catalogs onto microfiche. After a few years, it changed its name to the Career Guidance Foundation. It was renamed in 2003 and incorporated as CollegeSource.

Services

CataLink is a service by CollegeSource that hosts some college course catalogs on CollegeSource's website.[2]
