File:Gamma-ray Bubbles.ogv Tracy Slatyer is a particle physicist with a concentration in theoretical astrophysics.[1][2] She was a 2014 recipient of the Rossi Prize for gamma ray detection of Fermi bubbles, which are unexpected large structure in our galaxy.[3][4][5] Her research also involves seeking explanations for dark matter and the gamma ray haze at the center of the Milky Way.[6]

Early life and education

She studied at Narrabundah College in Canberra, Australia .[7] Slatyer received her Ph.D. in 2010 from Harvard University.[3]
