Thermoanaerobacterales Family III is a family of Gram positive bacteria in the order Thermoanaerobacterales.[1]

Because of uncertainty in the taxonomic assignment of the microorganisms belonging to this group, this family is actually referred to as "Incertae sedis". Microbiologists have still to ascertain whether the bacteria in this family are members of class Clostridia or whether they represent a novel phylum.[2]
