An '''attached gas-check''' was a [[Chemistry:Copper|copper]] plate that was physically attached to the base of a studded projectile of [[Engineering:Muzzle-loading rifle|rifled muzzle-loading]] ("RML") artillery, sealing the escape of gas between the projectile and the barrel.
